The “47” School We Love” song was written by Arnold Allison, former Gym Teacher in 1948. Principal McLaughlin asked Arnold to form a color guard for the assembly programs and in doing so the Army Air Corps song and the Ballad of the U.S. Marines was used to the tune of the Navy Anchors Aweigh lyrics, in tribute to the school colors, which are blue and gold.

Arnold Allison passed away in Florida on February 5, 2016, at the age of 98.  For more information and our tributes, go HERE.
